Supported by Waterways Ireland​

The renowned Autin Theatre Company will bring a 13-foot-tall puppet that will perform surrounded by representations of the Royal and Grand Canals, sharing Waterways Ireland vision of promoting life in the Dublin canals and their biodiverisity. Uiscebhéal, the giant puppet, is a water spirit coming out to play with his little friend, the pair’s striking performance will be accompanied by the Dublin Canals and its leisure uses with artistic representations and dancers.​

Celebrating the Royal and Grand Canals in this section will see performers in costume representing the water and the locks. We also look at the way the canals are enjoyed with a kayaker, swans, a young couple enjoying poetry on the tow path and interacting with the canal and the wildlife.
