As a capable, flexible performer it is hard to pigeon hole Eric Lalor’s act. His warm, energetic onstage presence makes for an unforgettable experience for the audience. With gags that always hit the spot, his engaging, high intensity performances make him one of the top names of ‘must book’ comedians.
His first foray into comedy was a bit unusual. In 2006, as one of the participants of RTÉ Two’s Des Bishop’s Joy In The Hood, his first ever gig was filmed on his home turf of Ballymun in Dublin and broadcast to the entire nation. Des went to Ballymun in search of new comedic talent and discovered Eric. Des was so impressed with what he saw that he brought Eric on his record-breaking, nationwide Fitting In tour. Opening the show at Live at the Marquee in Cork, Eric performed to 5,000 people. Since then, Eric has gone from strength to strength and has now garnered a reputation in Irish comedy as a consistent performer, making him one of the most sought after acts in the country. His first year in the highly competitive world of stand-up comedy saw him win the Comedy Cellar and Capital Comedy Club’s Best Newcomer Award. Eric has since been crowned Irish Standup of the Year two years in a row by the readers of entertainment.ie.
Eric is a regular act at the prestigious Kilkenny Cat Laughs Festival, as well as playing the Electric Picnic, Galway Comedy Festival, Edinburgh Fringe, Portlaoise Halloween Howls and Iveagh Gardens Festivals as well as being invited to perform at the very first ever London Irish Comedy Festival in Oct 2012. He has also opened for some of the biggest names in Irish comedy including Tommy Tiernan, Des Bishop, Jason Byrne, PJ Gallagher, Andrew Maxwell, Colin Murphy and more.
In 2008 Eric wrote and performed his first solo show, The Lalorpalooza Show, which earned him rave reviews and a sold-out night at Axis, Ballymun. In 2009 he embarked upon his first nationwide tour with fellow comedian Andrew Stanley. He also toured with his second solo show, Here! No Evil which again was met with great reviews before teaming up with Gearóid Farrelly for The Chalk and Cheese Tour and being the warm up act for live TV including The Late, Late Show and Deal or No Deal. He has been a panelist on The Craig Doyle Show on RTE2. More recently, he has come to the attention of TV producers as an actor and played Cathal Spillane in Fair City. He won the Best Actor Award in the 2017 London Ealing Festival for his role in In The Valley of the Moon
Eric is a regular contributor to Joe.ie and presented the Euro 2016 Live with Keith Andrews on Radio Nova.
Cavan man, Kevin McGahern began performing stand up in 2009 and since then has become a well-known face of Irish television and comedy. He can currently be seen hosting the panel show Clear History.
Kevin was the host of RTÉ’s celebrated show, Republic of Telly for 10 seasons and went on to present documentaries such as Kevin McGahern’s Fast & Furious and Kevin McGahern’s America for the broadcaster. He played the character of Sim Card in the popular RTÉ 2 television series, The Hardy Bucks which is now available on Netflix. Other television work includes, Alison Spittle’s Nowhere Fast, Finding Joy and Bridget and Eamon. He regularly performs at a number of festivals including, Kilkenny Cat Laughs, Vodafone Comedy Festival, Forbidden Fruit and Electric Picnic. In 2019 he brought his show Taking Off to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and subsequently performed as part of the Pick of the Fringe programme in London club 2Northdown.

Stellar Comedian of the Year 2017, Andréa Farrell is a funny girl from Dublin. A bright spark in Irish comedy, she quickly made an impact as a finalist in the RTÉ New Comedy Awards, a showcase for promising comedians that springboarded her to being a staple of summer festival slots like the Vodafone Comedy Festival, the Cat Laughs, Electric Picnic and the Edinburgh Comedy Festival. Most recently music fans caught Andréa as the lead in the video for HamsandwicH's hit track Bodies (below).
When she's not opening for comedy heavyweights like Stewart Francis, Marc Maron, David O'Doherty or Bill Burr, you'll catch Andréa doing regular slots at clubs and festivals around the country, where her laconic style and irreverent stage presence are a breath of fresh air. Andrea broke new ground recently taking a camper van around Ireland with her chums, The Lads of Comedy, bringing their anarchic ‘supergroup’ approach to stages near and far. And no rest for the wicked; Andréa is also currently lending her support to the Irish Society of Crohns and Colitis (ISCC) by fronting its prominent media campaign #DoubleUp.
Steve Bennett, Irish Comedian of the Year, is Ireland’s most endearing comedic talent. Bennett blends charmingly sharp wit and discerning musical comedy. With a charismatic and energetic presence, Chortle has named Bennett “an adept entertainer with an engagingly wry sense of humour”.
Before Bennett received the largest prize in Irish comedy, his achievements included winning Show Me The Funny (2014) and Best Newcomer at the UK Musical Comedy Awards (2014). You might have also seen him on the Flahavans ad, or on National radio saying nothing about porridge!
As a comedian, Bennett is well established on the Irish and international circuit, playing all the comedy and music festivals from Electric Picnic to Vodafone Comedy Festival. He has performed several solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe festival along with Perth, Adelaide & Melbourne festivals in Australia.
Steve also MCs at a variety of events including corporate awards shows, book launches & conventions. He’s a celebrant at weddings and will host whatever else you’ve got if you need a charming host to make your night run smoothly with a smile.
Always thinking of new comedy concepts, Bennett is an experienced comedy coordinator producing and promoting many shows like:
- The Bingo, a monthly gameshow filled with Craic, Balls & SurPrizes;
- Table Quizzes where funny answers and silly games can help you win;
- This is Your Trial, an improv comedy courtroom show;
- Not Quite Mass, Steve’s Comedy Cult;
- Dungeons & Naggins, an interactive storytelling experience, with drinking!
