Get ready for a belting night out of cheesy tunes and laughs from Irelands finest pop stars over the decades …C’est La Vie’anyone?
It’s happening and the Sing Along Social Craic Mechanics are boiling OVER with the anticipation of a craicsplosion at @stpatricksfestival on Saturday 19 March.
Pop of the Morning to Ya a celebration of Irish Pop
The amazing Cooks But We're Chefs will be kicking off the night with their incredibly craic-filled approach to joyous tunes. Forgotten how to dance? Let this awesome crew show you the way back to the dance floor 💃🏻
Our beautiful sister Maura Darragh will be serving up her own brand of saucy silliness with a standalone show to get you warmed up for singing.
And finally a crew of Craic Mechanics have been reassembling to deliver the most silly and craic filled and joyful celebration of Irish pop music that we have ever done.
Sing Along Social
The Sing Along Social is a zero-commitment choir designed for people who can not sing. It’s sort of like group karaoke, or a chaotic singing party, but you don’t have to practice or know the words or even be able to sing. It’s just about caterwauling along to your favourite songs in the company of friends and strangers.
Hosted by The Craic Mechanics, we have been popping up at parties, festivals and residencies in Ireland, the UK and beyond since 2015. You can find us at our regular pop ups in The Sugar Club and MVP in Dublin, or caterwauling alongside crowds at festivals including Body & Soul, All Together Now, Another Love Story, The Electric Picnic, Latitude in UK and Lollapalooza Berlin. Our vibe is cheesy pop music and guilty pleasures, and we are guided by the holy trinity of Whitney, Mariah and Shania in pretty much everything we do.
Cooks But We're Chefs
Cooks But We're Chefs are an 8-piece band from Dublin. Their sound encapsulates elements of funk, hip-hop, jazz and soul. Their highly energetic live shows have been well-received across Ireland, with slots at Electric Picnic, Body & Soul, Forbidden Fruit, Life Festival, Bray Jazz Festival, Stendhal and many more.
2020 saw the release of their successful EP entitled 'Sports Day', which showcases the wide variety of sounds the band has to offer. There is a wide variety of musical tastes amongst the band. Each member brings their own spice and flavour to the music - creating an overall unique sound that is tricky to define. With a 12 track album currently cooking away in their kitchen, Cooks But We're Chefs are truly 'on the rise'.
